Life's Too Short

As cliche as it sounds, it's true. Life really is too short. I'm 20-years-old. Why am I not living young, wild and free? Instead, I spend my days worrying about the extra two stone of weight I'm carrying and dreaming of what life would be like if I won the lottery.

As cliche as it sounds, it's true. Life really is too short.

I'm 20-years-old. Why am I not living young, wild and free? Instead, I spend my days worrying about the extra two stone of weight I'm carrying and dreaming of what life would be like if I won the lottery.

We are all guilty of taking it for granted sometimes. No one is truly content with their lives, there will always be one small niggle that can make you feel a little incomplete. It's what you do with those thoughts that matter.

You could die tomorrow... how did you spend your last days?

Throughout recovery, I have discovered so much about myself and life in general. I realise you have to appreciate what you have already, rather than feeling down about what you want.

It's hard, I get it. I still go to bed miserable some nights wondering if I'll ever be skinny or pretty like my friends are, that's simply a part of growing up.

Whether you feel like you are at a dead-end, you just broke up with someone you thought was the love of your life or your job makes you miserable... know that we all have these set backs.

Lifes.too.short.

If you feel like you're at a dead-end, remind yourself of all the great things you've achieved! Fallen in love with someone? tell them. Quit your job if you hate it. You may think it's not as easy as it sounds but it truly is that simple. Only you can choose your path in life and if you spend the time you have on earth wisely you could create something really freaking magical and great.

Life really is beautiful when you go outside and breathe for a moment. Take in your surroundings. Think about how much you love your family while at the dinner table, witnessing them laughing and talking about their day. Realise how much you treasure your friends when they're holding your hair back after way too many drinks. Believe in fate and angels and all of the silly unknown myths in life. Own it. Let it make you happy.

Take pictures and document the good stuff. But remember to experience it through your own eyes, memories are what we live for.

Stop being afraid of the future when tomorrow isn't even promised.

ALL THE LOVE

xoxo
