BLOGMAS #11 | Merry Christmas - My New Years Resolutions

It's Christmas! By now, if you're reading this, I would've received my much sought after makeup gifts, and I am currently dusting my face in glitter.

It's Christmas!

By now, if you're reading this, I would've received my much sought after makeup gifts, and I am currently dusting my face in glitter.

This year has been crazy. I feel like 2016 is going to be the year that no one speaks of. A lot of legends have left us this year and in my personal life too. It's been a tough one. This year has been both up and down for me, but I am determined to make the most of the opportunities in 2017.

New Years Resolutions for 2017:

Lose Weight

and keep it off. I feel like this resolution is made by a lot of people every year... but no more excuses. I've done it before and I will do it again. This time, however, I am not putting pressure on myself. I'm focusing on being happy and healthy. Looking after yourself is so much more important than the number on the scales.

Recover

2016 was the year of recovery for me and no matter how much I convince myself otherwise, I still have a long way to go in that department. I will get there when the time is right.

Appreciate

I like to think I do appreciate the little things in life, but there are times when I am ungrateful, sometimes without meaning to be. In 2017 I will take each day as it comes, appreciating every single day.

Record

For the first time in my life, I am doing to keep a diary, every single day of 2017. So when I feel unsure of how the year progressed I can remind myself of funny memories, or the tough times that hopefully don't occur!

Have fun

No more worrying for me. I'm leaving anxiety behind in 2016.

Here's to a much happier, healthier Shannon.

Merry Christmas everyone! I'd just like to say thank you all so much for encouraging me to continue blogging. I've always loved to write and now I finally feel like I have purpose. This year I have been in Glamour, The Guardian and Reveal magazine spreading the word about Mental Health. I hope to continue to do so in 2017 and help those who truly need it.

Thank you so much

Shannon

xoxo
